We writers of erotica, whether it's dark and kinky, or sweet and smutty, make our living with literary representations of the human body -- how we feel about it, what it feels like, what we like to do with it. We get lost in a fantasy world where all (or most) is pleasure and orgasmic bliss.
It's easy to forget that in real life, our bodies are so ultimately delicate. That so many of us suffer and die from cancers of those places we write so joyfully about in our fiction (among others).
