We writers of erotica, whether it's dark and kinky, or sweet and smutty, make our living with literary representations of the human body -- how we feel about it, what it feels like, what we like to do with it. We get lost in a fantasy world where all (or most) is pleasure and orgasmic bliss.
It's easy to forget that in real life, our bodies are so ultimately delicate. That so many of us suffer and die from cancers of those places we write so joyfully about in our fiction (among others).

I received news today: I sold my first story as A! Titled "If Wishes Were Shadows," it will be published by Cobblestone Press during their Naughty November event. I don't have any firm details yet, but I signed the contract this afternoon!
Businesswoman Calinda Byer is a "ball buster" when it comes to business, but when it comes to the bedroom, she is all submissive masochist. Her longtime vampire Dom, Adam Straton, tells her that before he would even consider turning her into a vampire as she requests, that she has to witness the darker side of immortal life, and the true depths of his sexuality -- including his male vampire lover. A planned weekend at his country estate promises to be full of unexpected dark delights, the likes of which Calinda couldn't have imagined in her most shadowed dreams. All she has to do is say the safe word, and she can return to the daylight world without him. But will she?
This tasty tidbit of a story is full of goodies: Hardcore vampire violence and bloodplay, bondage, whipping, BCT, and both M/M and M/F/M action.
I went all out for my first foray.
Stay tuned for further details as they become available.
